  1. Anna Hazaare broke his 12 days long fast Sunday August 28, 2011 at 1000 am. Anna Hazare was agitating peacefully in favour of a strong and effective Ombudsman bill. The government earlier had presented its own version of the bill which was rated as weak by the civil society lead by Anna. On Saturday, the government agreed to include the three important demands including 1) Inclusion of lower bureaucracy under Ombudsman bill, 2) start a citizens charter in offices, 3) and appointment of Lokayukt in all states. Parliament set on Saturday August 27 for about 8 hours and finally the resolution got a house sense by MPs thumped their tables to show their consent.
