Content lakes tranquilize all

It was 2005 Monsoon and now its 2010 when we saw all lakes of Udaipur full. It was such a relief. It always hurts when a natural resource becomes cause of depletion of other. But this time it rained in full swing and lakes got full and even got overflown. This brought a smile back on faces of those who depend solely on tourism. Hotels are reporting good booking and this trend will now last longer as a long season of festivities is right here. Navratri, Diwali, and then Christmas and New Year.

Now from next year even if it rains average, it will keep the lakes full and business going. Udaipur was declared as world's most beautiful city in the year 2009 by Travel + Leisure magazine. And now again it can claim that position as hospitality of the city is as good as it was then and the only issue of lakes drying up has also been resolved by the nature and God.

It feels great to be a dweller of city of lakes which is fast growing city and yet is basically beautiful. Good cozy environment, lovely faces, and great heritage attract the people from world over. Movies, Ad shoots, and royal wedding, everything is done here and people feel like home when they come here.

Udaipur's air connectivity:

Air : Udaipur's Maharana Pratap International Airport is about 24 kilometers from Udaipur city. Daily domestic flights that operate from here include many important destinations of the country like Jodhpur, Jaipur, Aurangbad, Mumbai and Delhi.

The International terminal is still under construction. This is aimed to boost tourism in the city and reduce Indian dependency on Karachi airports in case of inclement weather or other reasons.
