Ranging from Dharmshalas, guest lounges where you get an stay on first come first serve basis to Seven star hotels that are not only grand but have acclaimed world status. The Udai Vilas for example has featured many times in the top ten hotels of the world in the annual rating of Travel+Leisure magazine.

If you are rich enough to stay in highly expensive hotels like Udai Vilas, The Lalit, Lake Palace, Lakend, Jaisamand Resort etc, then you must have got the booking done already by your booking agent but if you are a normal visitor who does not want to spend many bucks just for a good night sleep or getting ready to set out to see the city, there are hundreds even thousands of hotels waiting for you.

As you de board from Roadways bus, Train, or a private bus, the nearest bunch of hotels can be found at the Udiyapole circle and nearby. Udiyapole is right in front of roadways bus stand and merely 700 meters from the city railway station. There is a long line of budget hotels here ready to take you on hands. The hospitality of hotels may differ as many would give you room service and others won't. But the rooms would normally be clean with hygienic washrooms attached.
You can also head to Dharmshala like Champalal dharmshala at Sooraj Pole (Less than 1 kilometer from Udiyapole) and Maaji ki Saraay, in fron of Rana Pratap Nagar Railway station. This place is some 4 kilometers from Udiyapole.
So, enjoy your stay. I will put a detailed list of hotels soon.
